Join us on December the 6th at 6:30pm for a two-hour art Workshop Inspired by Frida Kahlo & the Mexicanidad Movement with Angharad Neal Williams.

Immerse yourself in creativity, connection, and artistic exploration in honour of the 70th Anniversary of Frida Kahlo’s passing come along and celebrate her unique contribution to art, her celebration of indigenous Mexican culture, of feminism, individuality and as a cultural icon for the “Mexicanidad” movement.

With guidance from Angharad, you’ll create your own artwork either inspired by the vibrant colours, florals and imagery in Kahlo’s style.

Some artworks people may choose to create based on the inspiration provided could be:
• Fill your canvas with flowers inspired by Frida Kahlo’s works and/or day of the dead images,
• Paint a self portrait like Frida Kahlo’s with yourself surrounded by flowers and symbols that represent you,
• Paint from one of the photos you can see,
• Create an abstract artwork filled with day of the dead patterns and colours.

Enjoy light refreshments as you celebrate Frida, “Mexicanidad,” and individuality!
